About Me

I develop trust by supporting and guiding my clients through life transitions - growing families, empty nesters, downsizers and retirement living.  I focus on understanding my clients' lifestyle to give them the best results. My organizational skills, creative ideas and love of helping people are highlighted in every project I manage.

When did I get interested in houses and design?

I grew up in an old house with unique design features such as a majestic stone fireplace, a French balcony, a back staircase, and lots of built-in bookcases, hutches and cabinets. My mom had great taste in decorating and filled the house with a blend of antiques, painted furniture and interesting finds.  That really became my inspiration. At an early age, I enjoyed sketching house designs and searching for decorating ideas in magazines.

How Did I Start Helping Seniors Move?

Shortly after my dad passed away, my 3 brothers and I helped move our mom out of our childhood home where she had lived for 43 years. The house was filled not only with memories but a lifetime of things. I worked on the space planning for my mom’s new apartment and selected the furniture pieces that would fit nicely and that I knew she loved. I made sure that the layout was functional, familiar and would work for her daily routine. I hired the moving company, assisted with packing and spent moving day directing the movers at her new apartment.

Cleaning out the house after my mom's move...

Once my siblings and I took what we wanted, we needed to channel the best options for the remaining items.  We used antique dealers and an auction company for larger, pricier pieces. We set up yard sales (at the house and online), curb alerts and craigslist postings for other items. We also donated many items.

What I learned...

During the whole process my brothers and I were working full time jobs, busy with our own homes and one brother lives out of state! I kept thinking there must be other families in similar situations that could really use guidance and help. I started out talking to professionals in the real estate industry.  I was advised by one, “Knowledge is everything. Get your license, and you will find your path from there”.  I did receive my real estate license and I have connected with many local realtors. I also received certification in Interior Redesign and Home Staging. I really wanted to have the credentials to bring the full package to each client. In addition to my services, I can coordinate vetted and reliable realtors, movers and contractors.

What is my Background?

Over the years, I gained experience in sales, human resources, marketing, training and project management.  For close to 7 years, I was an office manager for a growing company.  I was responsible for maintaining the building and equipment on a daily basis. When needed, I oversaw office renovations and expansion projects working closely with contractors. In addition, I implemented company systems and programs to increase productivity and efficiency.  I have been described as being “Entrepreneurial, well organized and dedicated.”  My degree in Sociology provides me with a unique blend of care and expertise to handle different life changing situations.
